Three shots - the first two from the viewing area up on Sky Road. They're both a bit John Hinde, and the scene is worthy of much more. I ran a Velvia Action on the 2nd. I do quite like the third, the twin spires mimicking one of the cloud-wrapped Twelve Ben mountains beyond the town. Taken at 200mm to compress the perspective.
So one New Year's resolution is to return to Connemara later in 2008 to do better. Tomorrow it's back to real work, with Christmas weddings to edit.
We don't see much snow here, but had a nice fall of it tonight. The flurry blew a visitor onto the patio at the back of the house - a jack snipe who sat in the snow for half an hour before taking his leave. They're winter visitors to Ireland, spending most of the year in Scandinavia and Russia.

Welcome back John, Happy New Year. Love the snow shot and the black and white church steeples. You have had a busy Christmas than, with weddings? Not much rest for the 'Lensman'! Hope to see you Wednesday - We could all benefit from some of your advice in the are o portraiture, If you're there perhaps I could plug you for some tips? Best wishs to you and the family for the year ahead. Tony
Congratulations John, on the December photo competition. You should check out todays Roscommon Herald. See you tomorrow. Tony
I'm really sorry, missing this one so soon after missing the Christmas gig would seem to indicate that we don't care, nothing could be further from the truth, circumstances have contrived (again) to frig things up.
I'll have to get the herald myself now to see what you're up to.
