Clíona & Sean

It was my first time to photograph a wedding in Carrick Church since its renovations, and it was looking good at Cliona & Sean's wedding. Sounding good too, as the full St Mary's Carrick Choir were in fine voice. Clíona's parents, John & Catherine would normally be in the gallery with them, but they had other things on their mind that day.

I started the day in Enhance, where Gráinne was applying the final flourishes to Clíona, Emer & Catherine. The it was out to John & Catherine's new house for the final preparations. The weather was iffy, but we did get a few dry spells, and the rain held off as Clíona arrived at the Church. I can't rememeber who it was scurrying past to get inside before the bride, but Cliona was obviously happy to see them.

It was raining at The Abbey, so, as always, Tom Greally was on hand with champagne and mulled wine to lift peoples' spirits. We did get five minutes outside in the grounds, but had to keep the umbrellas close by at all times. Clíona & Sean's little boy Tadgh was a star of the show. He was one year old the next day, and he loved the camera.

Brian Duignan was alongside me on video, Norma Duignan provided the flowers, and the fantastic Late Nite Radio rocked the joint until the early hours of Saturday morning.
